Community Living Huntsville is an organization of volunteers and professionals dedicated to providing services and supports to people with developmental/intellectual disabilities, and their families, with the focus on community inclusion in all aspects of community life. Children’s Services provides support to families to obtain services and advocate for their children so that they may continue to develop at school, at home, and within the community. The Resource Teacher Program provides support to families whose children are 2 to 6 years old, and the Family Support Program supports families whose children are 3 to 18 years, promoting learning, play and the development of friendships. Adult Services include community supports that focus on self-help, communication, community awareness, social and academic skills, recreation and leisure, and employment. Adult residential support is offered in several settings through people’s own homes, group homes, and the Supported Independent Living Program.
