Our annual FOOD DRIVE at Spruce Glen has officially started! Our Grade 7/8 students have been working hard to advertise and get ready to help run this important community event. We were thrilled to have Heather Cassie join us at our assembly on Friday, December 1st to share about the role of The Table Soup Kitchen Foundation in our community.
Heather was able to give us a list of items that are most in need this holiday season. These items include: cereal, crackers, juice boxes, jam, tea, instant coffee, peanut butter, microwavable soup cup meals, laundry detergent, and feminine products.
Our Food Drive will run from December 1st to December 21st. All food donations will be delivered to the Table Food Bank on December 21. Intermediate students will be tallying the donations and the class that brings in the most items will win a sweet Christmas treat!
